About Us!

My name is Daniel Yearwood, and my wife and I are proud owners of Yearwood Instrument Repair. My passion for music runs deep, specifically within the realm of band, and I have always envisioned a life dedicated to this art form. Combining my enthusiasm for music with my love for hands-on craftsmanship, I decided to embark on this entrepreneurial journey!

I am a 2012 graduate from Loris High School, and throughout my life, I have garnered a wealth of experience through a variety of jobs leading up to my current position. My previous roles have included work in warehouses, surveying, hotel maintenance, and even pursuing an educational path at Horry-Georgetown Technical College (HGTC) where I focused on HVAC. This education was instrumental in helping me sharpen my technical skills, enabling me to apply invaluable knowledge to the trade of instrument repair. Not only do I have the experience from other roles and my love for music, I was trained by one of the few instrument repair schools in the United States, CIOMIT . Colorado Institute of Musical Instrument Technology provides one on one instructions to ensure proper education on every instrument. I received certificates in brass repair, clarinet, flute, saxophone, bassoon and oboe!

At present, I balance a full-time job alongside my passion for repairing musical instruments. My wife, Carlie Yearwood, plays an essential role in our business, assisting in areas where I may lack expertise (she’s undoubtedly the brains of this operation) and impresses me with her capabilities in every way imaginable.
